State, local, tribal, and territorial emergency responders can attend training at no cost. Federal funding includes round-trip transportation to training programs at NMT/EMRTC Training facilities, lodging and meals.

The designated NMT/EMRTC Training travel agency will arrange flights and hotel lodging based on per diem allowances. Per diem is a set allowance for lodging, meal and incidental costs incurred while on official government travel. After your travel is complete, NMT/EMRTC Training will disburse the per diem allowance for meals and incidentals.

A FEMA Student Identification (SID) number is required to register for training courses. Getting a FEMA SID is a free and quick process which can be completed by visiting https://cdp.dhs.gov/FEMASID. The same URL can be accessed to retrieve an existing FEMA SID.
